NEW
FLAVORS OF CAL-MAG FIZZ INTRODUCED TO ENCOURAGE BETTER
BONE HEALTH
SCOTTSDALE,
Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 19, 2002--To meet the
need for a grat-tasting calcium supplement, Baywood
International, Inc. (OTC BB:BYWD) has introduced two
new flavors to its popular Cal-Mag
FIZZ(TM) powdered supplement.
Cal-Mag
Fizz(TM) is the most absorbable form of Calcium
and Magnesium available that strengthens bones and
teeth while effectively transporting and aiding in
the absorption of calcium. New flavors of the product
now include Tropical Fruit, Mixed Berry and Lemon-Lime.
Low
bone mass or osteoporosis is a major public health
threat for more than 28 million Americans, 80 percent
of whom are women. In the U.S. today, 10 million individuals
already have the disease and 18 million more have
low bone mass, placing them at increased risk for
osteoporosis(a). While certain people are more likely
to develop osteoporosis than others, building strong
bones can be the best defense against developing the
disease later.
The
experts at Baywood International realize that people
young and old are failing to meet the daily recommendation
for calcium and are in need of a great-tasting calcium
supplement. Enter Baywood's unique effervescent blend
of Cal-Mag
FIZZ(TM) which provides maximum absorption of
all its ingredients. Cal-Mag
FIZZ(TM) contains its nutrients in a highly bioavailable
form which is gentle to the stomach, and often more
suitable than solid supplements, especially for children
and the elderly. The special blend in Cal-Mag
FIZZ(TM) of four (4) different forms of ionized
calcium in an exclusive effervescent, highly absorbable
and bioavailable form means stronger bones and a much
healthier lifestyle for both young and old alike.
"Many
men, women and children are failing to meet the minimum
recommendation of 1,000 milligrams of calcium daily
which is especially dangerous for boys and girls aged
9-18 years," says Dr. Mark Potocnjak, M.D., Medical
Advisor for Baywood. "These deficits in the early
teen years may result in reduced adult bone mass,
increasing the likelihood of fractures and osteoporosis
in later years. Now, our customers have a choice of
flavors that taste great and help meet the daily requirement
for calcium."
The
new flavors of Cal-Mag
FIZZ(TM) are now available at select independent
and chain health stores. For more information about
Cal-Mag FIZZ(TM)
and all of its new flavors, access Baywood's website,
