CLINICAL DATA DEMONSTRATES NUMEROUS
BENEFITS FOR NEWEST PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
IN Complete La Femme® LINE

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA - June 21, 2001 - Baywood International, Inc. (OTC BB: BYWD) has introduced Vein Support Formula as its latest product introduction for varicose veins into its Complete La Femme® line of products for women.

Complete La Femme® Vein Support Formula contains diosmin and hesperidin. The ingredients were isolated for the first time in 1925 from Scrophutaria Modosa and are naturally occurring flavonic glycosides found in many plants. Introduced in France in 1969 as a therapeutic agent, the ingredients have since been widely prescribed in Western Europe to maintain healthy veins, promote venous flow and support the circulatory system. In addition, Diosmin is a veinotropic agent and vasculoprotective compound which increases the capillary resistance of blood vessels, increases vein tonicity, decreases capillary permeability and promotes anti-inflammatory activity related to an inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. Double-blind, placebo controlled studies on these ingredients in Vein Support Formula demonstrate increased capillary resistance of blood vessels, increased vein tonicity, decreased capillary permeability, support for the circulatory system, an anti-inflammatory effect and anti-oxidant activity.

Hesperidin is extracted and isolated from orange or lemon rinds. The hesperidin is then converted to Diosmin using a proprietary procedure. The remaining product is 92% - 95% Diosmin and 5% - 8% "free" hesperidin. Diosmin differs from hesperidin by the absence of a double bond between two carbon atoms (C2-C3).

"This product epitomizes the type of science that we seek to continuously build our unique product lines," stated Neil Reithinger, President & C.E.O. "From a marketing standpoint, classifying the product as a 'Vein Support Formula' in many ways limits the scope of the numerous benefits that this new product provides for the circulatory system. This is why we will also introduce the product under our PURECHOICE®line in order to broaden its appeal beyond Complete La Femme®and so that we can further demonstrate the benefits for everyone to use it," Reithinger further stated.
