Carbohydrate Blocker - Phase 2™:
This ingredient is derived from Phaseolus vulgaris,
commonly known as White Kidney Bean. Phase 2™
inhibits alpha amylase, the enzyme that promotes
the breakdown of starch in the gastrointestinal
tract. This results in a reduction in the absorption
of starch in foods, so that less starchy carbohydrates
are broken down and converted into blood sugar.
These
clinically significant results are based on a recent,
8-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of
50 subjects conducted at Northridge Hospital Medical
Center, UCLA academic affiliate.
In
addition, an analyses of two double-blind, placebo-controlled,
human pilot trials, showed that starch absorption
averaged 66% lower in the group taking Phase 2™.
Two safety studies showed Phase 2™ to be safe
and non-toxic.

Appetite Suppression: Another
important part of carbohydrate control and reaching
weight loss goals includes appetite suppression.

blend of yerba mate, Korean ginseng, eleuthero (Siberian

This trademarked botanical extract is included in
the formula for its role in supporting blood sugar
balance. Glucoport™ is made from a medicinal
plant known as Banaba leaf (Lagerstroemia speciosa
L.) extract. An extract from the leaves of this plant
contains high levels of corosolic acid, which is a
vegetable protein that has an insulin-like effect
on the body.
Gymnema
Sylvestre: Used for centuries as an
efficient therapy for assisting with healthy blood
sugar control, Gymnema is thought to support the pancreatic
islets of Langerhan cells and several beta-cell lines
which all function to produce adequate insulin.
Fenugreek
Seeds: These contain an active amino
acid called 4-hydroxysoleucine, which has been found
to increase insulin production and also to mimic insulin
itself, which can assist with restoring normal levels
of blood sugar.
